1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StrangerConnect ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.

If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use StrangerConnect. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts or access for users who misrepresent their age.

If you are accessing the Platform from a jurisdiction where 18 is not the age of majority, you must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Platform.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Posting, sharing, or transmitting content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Sharing or soliciting sexually explicit content, especially involving minors (CSAM is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities)
• Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your affiliation
• Spamming, phishing, or distributing malware or harmful code
• Attempting to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Platform's security features
• Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to access the Platform without our written consent
• Soliciting money, personal information, or sensitive data from other users
• Promoting or facilitating self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous activities
• Using the Platform for commercial solicitation without prior written approval
• Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content

When you post confessions or other content on the Platform, you grant StrangerConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You retain ownership of any content you submit. You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of posting it.

Our Content

The Platform's design, code, branding, and original content are the intellectual property of StrangerConnect and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.

5. Advertising

The Platform is supported by advertising revenue through Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:

• Advertisements are displayed throughout the Platform
• Third-party advertisers may use cookies to serve personalised ads (see our Privacy Policy)
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements
• You may opt out of personalised advertising through your Google Ad Settings

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.

We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Platform, including user-generated content.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STRANGERCONNECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination include but are not limited to violations of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which StrangerConnect operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
